Portishead's Geoff Barrow is also the co-founder of a label called Invada. Today, a mystery lineup associated with the label, Invada Allstars, has teamed with Barrow collaborator Anika to cover "99 Red Balloons," the anti-war song by Nena. (That's the artwork above.) Invada has released the track through Bandcamp to support this weekend's anti-Trident demo in London, a protest against the renewal of Britain's nuclear weapons program. Listen to the original below.
