Last week, Massive Attack launched an iPhone app called Fantom which contained snippets of four songs. They've now released Ritual Spirit, an EP containing all four tracks, on Virgin/EMI. It features collaborations with Tricky, Young Fathers, Roots Manuva, and Azekel. Below, watch the Hiro Murai-directed video for Tricky collab "Take It There," which stars a beleaguered John Hawkes stalking through the city at night.
A second EP, written and co-produced by Daddy G, is coming in Spring, with an album to follow later this year.
The release was first teased in an Instagram post by the group's 3D.
Massive Attack's last record was Heligoland in 2010.
