Last December, Coldplay's Chris Martin said that the band were at work on their "final" album, A Head Full of Dreams. Almost a year later, they've announced that the album will be out December 4 via Parlophone/Atlantic. It's called A Head Full of Dreams, and it features several guests including Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo, and Merry Clayton. In last year's interview with Zane Lowe, Martin compared the album—their seventh—to "the last Harry Potter book or something like that," saying it's "the completion of something." He explained, "I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it."
Coldplay recorded the album in Malibu, L.A., and London with producers Stargate and Rik Simpson.
