The Velvet Underground have released 45th anniversary box sets for each of their first three albums. This year, it's time for 1970's Loaded to get the deluxe treatment. On October 30, Loaded will be issued as a six-disc box set including the original album remastered in stereo and mono, a selection of demos and mixes, a new remaster of the Live at Max's Kansas City LP, an unreleased live set from 1970, and an audio DVD that includes three different mixes of the album. Find the tracklist here.
About that unreleased 1970 show: It was recorded at the Second Fret in Philadelphia, and features the band as a trio. Drummer Moe Tucker was pregnant, so Doug Mule alternated between bass and drums.
