De La Soul recently Kickstarter-funded a new album, their first since 2004's The Grind Date. Previously, they announced that guests would include Damon Albarn, David Byrne (on a track called "Snoopies"), 2 Chainz (on "Whodini"), and Little Dragon (on "Drawn"). Over the weekend, they added a few more names. Usher, Pete Rock, Roc Marciano, Estelle, and Snoop Dogg will all feature on the record, which is currently being mastered by Bob Power.
In a video accompanying the update, Power deconstructed one of the tracks and its myriad live-recorded components. Watch it at Kickstarter.
De La Soul's campaign raised $600,874, well over its $110,000 target.
