Pitchfork is looking for a social media intern to help support and grow our social presence. Candidates will directly report to Pitchfork's Social Media Director. Responsibilities:
- Drafting social copy (tweets, Facebook posts, Instagram captions, etc.)
- Scheduling social posts across our social footprint of over 4.5MM+ followers
- Creation and upkeep of Google Docs to track and measure social growth, activations, and projects
- Organization and upkeep of digital image archives for social and editorial use
- Social media-related research
- Gathering social media analytics
- Creation and upkeep of Spotify playlists
Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge and up-to-date understanding of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Tumblr, Snapchat, YouTube, Spotify, Pinterest, Google+, Swarm, Hyperlapse, Periscope, Meerkat, REX, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Strong communication skills with emphasis on grammar and spelling. (If your bothered by this sentence you know what were talking about.)
- Previous experience with Hootsuite preferred
