Dave Grohl hasn't watched Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, the documentary about his former Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain. In an interview with the Washington Post, he said he was "terrified" when he caught a part of it on television (via Consequence of Sound).
"All the footage of him as a child, I think that might make me sad, and then the dark stuff at the end I think would bum me out," Grohl said. He only ended up watching about 10 minutes before shutting it off, the Post reports.
Grohl does not appear in the documentary.
In related Grohl news, Foo Fighters will kick off their scheduled tour on July 4 as planned, enlisting stars such as Buddy Guy and Joan Jett for their 20th anniversary celebration. That means Grohl's leg is healing nicely after a fracture suffered from falling off stage at a concert in Sweden forced the band to cancel a handful of tour dates, including a headlining set at Glastonbury.
