Pitchfork.tv's "Director ID" series, a collaboration with Portuguese music and arts television network Canal 180 that profiles some of the best directors working in music videos today, continues with new episodes. The latest features Claire Marie Vogel, who's directed clips for Mikal Cronin, Iron and Wine, MUTEMATH, Atlas Genius, and more.
In this episode, Vogel discusses her drive to present true-to-life cinematic reflections of the songs she sets to film. She also discusses the surrealist aspects of her work, and how such insights stem from her own personal experiences.
Past episodes of "Director ID" featured Kristoffer Borgli, David Wilson, Focus Creeps' Aaron Brown, Daniel Brereton, Isaiah Seret, Hiro Murai, and DANIELS.
