Lil B's apartment building caught fire early in the morning on Thursday after an electrical fire spread through the building, The Fader reports. According to the report, Lil B and six other people were saved by 15-year-old Mateo Ysmael, who ran through the building to wake everyone up.
"I'm grateful to be alive," Lil B told the Contra Costa Times . "If that kid didn't come knocking on my door..." The fire reportedly destroyed "many of his costumes and some of his music". Fortunately, Lil B was not injured, noting that "It could've been so much worse than it was."
Later, Lil B tweeted the following, including a photo from the incident and an email address that fans can send donations to directly via PayPal:
