As you might have noticed, Arcade Fire have covered a region-specific song in every city they've visited on their current tour. They've covered Jane's Addiction in Los Angeles, the Smiths in London, R.E.M. in Atlanta, and so forth. At last night's show in Santa Barbara, California, they played Dead Kennedys' "California Über Alles", which was written about current California governor Jerry Brown. (He was governor in 1979, when the song was written, and he's also the governor today. It's a long story.) Watch a video below, via Consequence of Sound.
