Purity Ring have added their cavernous, echoing electro-pop touch to Lady Gaga's latest big single, "Applause". It'll appear on Gaga's forthcoming Applause Remix EP on October 1. "I chipped away at it for two weeks," Purity Ring's Corin Roddick told Dazed Digital. "We've been asked to do a lot of remixes over the past couple of years but haven't done one in a very long time... But if I'm gonna do a remix it might as well be for Lady Gaga."
He also discussed the duo's plans for their own music. "We're working on a new record, which is going slow, but it’s going good," he said. "I've been producing for some hip hop artists and singers, and I’ve worked with Evian Christ too."

Arcade Fire's 'Reflektor' Video Has Your Spooky Van, Disco Ball Man + Troll Doll Fix For The Week
Arcade Fire get spooky and dance-y in their video for "Reflektor."
Since Arcade Fire showed up in LCD Soundsystem's "Shut Up And Play The Hits" documentary, we knew that they were ready to ditch The Suburbs for the dance floor. With the help of former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy, their new single does just that. Drawing on disco traditions from LCD to Donna Summer, "Reflektor" goes long -- seven minutes! -- and ambitious -- two videos!
Watch Arcade Fire's "Reflektor" video after the jump.
For video No. 2, the band tapped director Anton Corbijn, who shot the band in black-and-white as they play in the back of a van wearing giant, um, Arcade Fire masks. And that's not even mentioning the guy in the mirror suit (Mr. Reflektor?) whose lumbering appearance turns the disco-ball vibes freaky. As it turns out, "Reflektor" might as well be the soundtrack to a horror movie, or at least a really short "Twilight Zone" episode.
The track gets eerier still with Win Butler and Régine Chassagne co-fronting the duet, singing each other's lines like a ghostly echo before making way for a third: David Bowie! Not enough? Stick around for the coffin dance party, the Troll dolls, and the bongo drums. Just a reflektor? Nah, more like the beginning of the year's most anticipated album this side of Lady Gaga's ARTPOP . G2G, checking Amazon Prime for disco balls. We'll talk later.

Hayley Williams Trades In Pop Punk For EDM On Zedd's 'Stay The Night'
Paramore's Hayley Williams is the star vocalist on Zedd's latest club anthem, "Stay The Night."
Honesty alert: We might not have originally picked Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams to back a Zedd track. I mean, Zedd's all about pulsing synths, EDM drrrrrrOPS, and thumping, mirrorballing, strobe-light-seizure club environs! And Hayley? Up until now, we could only see her hair flipping and high-kicking her way down a Warped Tour stage while wailing out words to "Now."
But that just goes to show how much we didn't know about Hayley's genre range. Because this girl is OWNING her vocals on Zedd's latest house hit, "Stay The Night."
Listen to Zedd's "Stay The Night" featuring Hayley Williams after the jump.
The follow-up to Zedd's Foxes-assisted smash, "Clarity," "Stay The Night" showcases Williams' booming powerhouse vocals as she sings about a potential hookup: "Are you gonna stay the night?/ Doesn't mean we're bound for life/ Oh oh oh, are you gonna stay the night?" (I mean, it doesn't take a genius to close-read that line. We know a mating call when we hear one!)
Later, "Stay The Night" -- which is slated to be the lead single on a forthcoming repackage of the MTV Artist To Watch's debut album, Clarity -- proves its house chops by dropping into a barrage of electronics, towering synth, and even a little bit of, as he explained in a recent MTV news interview, "rock and classical influences."
Sooo, now for the question that's on everyone's mind: Will "Stay The Night" top "Clarity"? Are we gonna hear it in every sushi restaurant, gas station, and corner store? Well, personally I can't think of a better soundtrack to my next Ben & Jerry's purchase. ...Which I plan to do RIGHT before hitting my bed the club.

Harry Styles Made Pizza With Cindy Crawford's Kids While I Ate Chinese Delivery Alone (PHOTOS)
That kid in the checkered shirt? Literally our face if we were ever within 50 feet of Harry Styles.
When I was 14, I was failing right and left at tracking down somebody who'd make out with my haphazardly thrown together Robert Smith-wannabe self. When legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford's son, Presley, was 14, he made pizza with One Direction's Harry Styles and had a wonderful time. #DontCryOutLoud
Yep! Ladies and gentlemen, start your envy, because the feisty 1D member apparently spent Sunday afternoon whipping up some D.I.Y pizza pies with Presley, who Instagrammed the hangout, captioning: "Thanks for stopping by the house again and helping the boys and I make our pizzas @harrystyles."
Meanwhile, at the sad cave, I think I was halfway through some Chinese food that I'd ordered from this new place that ended up being pretty terrible, but I didn't throw it away because I was already pretty deep into this episode of "The Wire" and didn't feel like pausing it, so, like, #YOLO why not keep eating it. See, Harry? I'M FUN, TOO.
Check out more photos from Harry Styles' Crawford family home visit after the jump.
After nomming some 'za with Presley and his friends, Harry kicked it with Cindy's 12-year-old daughter, Kaia, and her pal Ava. Though Rihanna may not have given all that many effs about posing for a photo with Harry at the VMAs, Kaia looks beyond thrilled in the pic below, which she Instagrammed with the caption: "Thanks for coming by again @harrystyles and giving my friend, Ava, a mini heart attack..."
Ava doesn't let cardiac arrest stand in the way of a Harry Styles photo opp. #Hero
Maybe our jealousy got the best of us, but seriously, this is so cute! The "Best Song Ever" singer is such a sweetheart to drop by and brighten Presley and Kaia's day! We can only hope that one day, Harry will do the same for us. We even have an itinerary mapped out! From 10 A.M. to 6 P.M., we talk about #feelings, and then... WE DANCE.

Arcade Fire's Win Butler Offers Reflektor Details
Arcade Fire's Win Butler has offered up a few new details about the band's highly anticipated album Reflektor (out October 29 on Merge).
In a preview of an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe (the full thing airs tomorrow), Butler said that Reflektor has a classic double album vibe, with two distinct sides, and features several long, seven-minute-plus songs. (That includes first single "Reflektor".) He said the sound of the album, which was produced by James Murphy, will surprise people. The band wrote "50 or 60" songs for the album.
As for the long, mystery-filled buildup to the album, Butler described it as feeling not like promo, but more like a "weird art project" and "throwing a good party." He said he likes the excitement of anticipating an album before it's released, and mentioned his experience seeing Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video as a kid.

Our #Feelings Towards 'Miley: The Movement' -- In GIFs!
Miley's documentary hits MTV on Oct. 2! BWAHHHHHH!!!!
Just when we thought it was safe to have some Miley Cyrus-related #feelings, BOOM! The Bangerz singer announced via Twitter that she's got an upcoming documentary titled "Miley: The Movement" that follows the "23" singer on the road from Disney girl to the patron saint of twerking.
Coming less than 24 hours after Ms. Milez absolutely wrecked us with her emotionally raw "Wrecking Ball" video (which we relived over and over and over again via this "Wrecking Ball" GIF wall), Miley continued to spread "The Movement" gospel in a 30-second teaser, where she promised her hour-long documentary would include "lots of ups and downs" and that it would be "completely insane." Ummmmm, how do you think this makes us feel, Miley?! All these feels?? Do you think we like feeling all these feels?!
YES. OBVIOUSLY. UNNECESSARY QUESTION. My idea of heaven is entering a catatonic fugue state following a particularly heavy re-watching of "Muriel's Wedding" where I pet the carpet lying naked on the floor all Natalie Imbruglia-style. (#SomethingYouMayNotKnowAboutMe) Hmmm, we think we know the perfect way to process Miley's announcement... WITH A GIF WALL!!!!

Ellie Goulding's 'How Long Will I Love You' Video Will Make You Cry All The Tears
Ellie's gonna leave no speck of sadness sand unturned. #Metaphors
Standing in stark contrast with past club bangers like "I Need Your Love" and "Lights," Ellie Goulding's new music video for "How Long Will I Love You" is a ballad that's tender and gentle enough to be included on the About Time soundtrack.
Mixing clips of Ellie staring wistfully out to sea with scenes from Rachel McAdams' rom-com, the Mike Sharpe-directed video seems specifically engineered to trigger the triangulated "'90s Hugh Grant movies/ 'The Notebook'/ Coldplay's 'Yellow'" nerve in my brain's emotional core, so if you don't mind...

The lyrics have a simple playground rhyme quality to them: "How long will I love you/ As long as stars are above you/ Longer if I can/ How long will I need you / As long as the seasons need to/ Follow their plan." The song's vulnerability is further heightened when these words are coupled with the almost music box-like fragility of the instrumental.
It's funny how Ellie's vocal styling isn't all that different in a mellow tune like "How Long Will I Love You" than it sounds in one of her heavier hitters like "Burn." Switching so effortlessly from soft to loud and back again -- that's definitely not an easy feat to pull off. Just imagine the lead singer of GWAR trying to pull of his best Julie Andrews impression... Let's not, and say we did.

Star Spotting: Miley Cyrus' Tongue Makes An Unexpected -- Er, Very Expected Cameo In Paris (PHOTO)
Wait!? Is Miley Cyrus giving the international sign of "I need an Altoid!"?
We're not sure why Miley Cyrus felt the need to, like, point out her tongue while greeting fans in Paris. Trust, girl, from your VMA performance to that recent Terry Richardson shoot -- not to mention, um, pretty much everything you do ever -- we are puh-retty familiar with your tongue. Maybe Miley just got a new tongue scraper and was all, "SEE?! These things DO work!" Or, perhaps Ms. Milez was trying to communicate: "If my new 'Wrecking Ball' video were food, it would taste sooooo good I'd just put it in my mouth all Akinyele-style!"
And if that's the case (Spoiler Alert: IT'S PROBABLY NOT!), Miley's plan twerked like a charm because "We Can't Stop"/ won't stop watching the extremely GIF-able clip! Seriously, it like my feels are having baby feels that then turn around to say "I wuv you Mama Feels!" every time I watch it. These are Demi Lovato "Skyscraper" kinda feels! "Rascacielo," even!!!!
Just like in Paris, Miley's tongue has its very own cameo in the video, stealing the spotlight from the singer by licking a hammer because, um, that's what you're supposed to do with hammers, right? (No, really, we're not very handy.) WAIT! Back to the picture up top! Since Ms. Cyrus can't speak French, what if she's just trying to pantomime to her Parisian Smilers that she can still French a sledgehammer?? It's at least as likely as the tongue scraper theory, because WHO USES A TONGUE SCRAPER.

Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball' Video: Go For Another Spin... In GIFs!
Who's up for another ride on the Miley Cyrus #feelings train?
Anyone else feeling a little dizzy? Maybe a little barfy? Well, we're no doctors, but our motion sickness COULD be due to the fact that we've been watching and re-watching Miley Cyrus spin around naked, smash concrete, and basically experience the five stages of break-up grief in her just-released "Wrecking Ball" video. (Don't ask us how many times we've watched today. I SAID DON'T ASK.)
OK, I guess you could call us emotional masochists who spend too much time stalking our exes on Facebook (etc....), but you know what? We're totally captivated by Miley's vulnerability and willingness to (tastefully) expose everything on camera! Between her close-up, not-ugly cries and bare, un-Photoshopped body, we're so transfixed by Miley that we wanna go for another spin on the #feelings train -- I mean wrecking ball -- in GIFs! Who's with us? Tongues out, tops off... and GO!
