The 10 Most Extreme Fan Reactions To Lady Gaga's 'Applause'

Check out the most extreme fan reactions to Lady Gaga's just released single "Applause."

Lady Gaga dropped "Applause" a week early, and we are barely functioning.

Today the pop music goddesses have truly smiled upon us, for Lady Gaga has released "Applause" a week early. This sacred blessing comes riiiight after Katy Perry's "Roar" release, but it should go without saying that we are JUST as blown away by the ARTPOP single as we are with Prism 's lead. It's simultaneously an evolution for Mother Monster and a return to her more straightforward, dance-music roots, and -- to paraphrase the mega star's lyrics -- we are LIVING for the "Applause."

TBH though, we're not sure we're capable of processing the full glory of this song. At the time of today's surprise track announcement, we were probably midway through our 477th replay of "Roar," so Gaga's surprise has essentially sent us into a mild state of shock. (Don't send flowers, just cookie bouquets.) That's why we're handing the mic over to the FANS to give us their take on Gaga's new song. OH GOD, IT JUST HIT US. THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF OUR LIVES. We're processing. PROCESSING SO MUCH.

Listen to Lady Gaga's "Applause," and check out the most extreme Little Monster reactions after the jump.

"Project Runway" alum and fierce fashion designer Christian Siriano vowed that "Applause" would be on his "Leading Up To Fashion Week" playlist:

Our own Brad Stern astutely broke down the references:

"Applause" left some people dancing:

Others crying:

Still others dying:

Some even hallucinated!

...And also other things!

France loves it (Thx, France!):

Same with Brazil and/or Portugal. (In case your Portugese is rusty, just sooooound it out.)

Out of all the social media fan reactions we found, though, none of them capture the wordless ecstasy of hearing a new Lady Gaga song quite like this one:
