New Song: John Legend, 'Caught Up'

John Legend breaks out the seduction kit in "Caught Up."

Is it hot in here? I mean besides the late-August humid temps? Yes? Well, maybe it's because we need one to 10 cold showers after listening to John Legend's seductive sexy-without-being-cheesy track, "Caught Up." Like, 10 cold showers and the entire month of January.

Following Legend's ultra-naked "Made To Love" video, "Caught Up" also features a couple other famous names: Hit-Boy produced the track and VMA performer Kanye West served as cowriter. You might also remember that Legend previewed the third single off of his upcoming Love In The Future album (out Sept. 3) last year, but now it's here and fully available to tack on to your "Saturday Night Seduction" playlist. (And no, Kenny G IS NOT ON THIS PLAYLIST. Highbrow seducing only.)

Featuring Legend's signature soul vocals, "Caught Up" kicks off with a series of #dark, moody Kanye-ish bass thumps. But soon enough, Legend romances us with lyrics about wanting to shuck off his daily pressures and just get "caught up" in some lucky woman's love: "I'm tired of my job/ I'm tired of my boss/ I'm taking you out/ You're taking it off/ You're taking it off/ The only thing on my mind is how we're about to get it on."

New Video: Ellie Goulding + BURNS, 'Midas Touch'

Ellie Goulding's new video is pure gold.

Everything electro-pop goddess Ellie Goulding touches turns to gold, so it's no wonder her latest is dubbed "Midas Touch." The singer's new video -- for a cover of a Midnight Star track -- is an animated, 3D effort that captures a metallic woman breathed into life. But our golden girl finds that existence ain't easy: She loses an arm and fights her own body's spastic chaos before reaching her man. Even then, a kiss isn't enough to save her. It's a sad ending for a video that remembers the myth of King Midas ended badly, too. (Pro-tip: magical transformation powers are cool until you can't touch your family. Ask Rogue from X-Men!)

But when it comes to the music, "Midas Touch" is more hopeful: It spins the myth around, making it about letting someone else's magic reach you. "It's time that you've opened open to love," Goulding sings. "'Cause if you don't ever try, then baby, you may never see."

The song comes with Goulding's now-signature sound, beat-driven and fierce -- if a little darker than usual thanks to reverb-heavy production by BURNS. "Midas Touch" is a bonus cut on Halcyon Days, Goulding's extras-packed Halcyon reboot, which is out today (yes!) with an album's worth of new tracks.

Lady Gaga's VMA Bikini Somehow Gets More Revealing Thanks To Terry Richardson (NSFW) (PHOTO)

Hint: Terry has titled the image, "Gaga's Golden Butt."

Although we didn't agree with everything comedian Kevin Hart said during his stand-up bits at Sunday's VMAs, he did drop one undeniable truthbomb: "Lady Gaga has those yams." Like, we don't know what kind of ass-tastic jazzercise regimen Gaga was following to prep for her VMA-opening "Applause" performance (though it probably involved nudity and crystals), but can we sign up?

While we thought we'd seen, like, literally 97.4 percent of Lady Gaga's Botticelli's "Birth Of Venus" bod onstage, photographer Terry Richardson (whom you might remember shot Miley Cyrus' recent twerked-out photoshoot) captured an additional 1.3 percent, which he's shared on his Tumblr.

Daft Punk's 'Lose Yourself To Dance' Video Clip Just BEGS TO Be GIF-ed

Let's be honest: Did we want to see legendary electronic duo Daft Punk perform live at the 2013 Video Music Awards? Sure. We can't help that we want to know more about them! Like, see their faces, talk to them, ask them if they're sweating and/or feeling a disturbance in The Force under all that metal, etc. But I guess eventually we'll have to come to terms with the fact that Daft Punk's space helmets are the equivalent of Gretchen Wieners' hair -- FULL OF SECRETS.

Luckily for us, the French twosome fully made up for their brief VMA appearance by filming a spectacular end-of-summer "Lose Yourself To Dance" video clip starring "Get Lucky"'s Pharrell and Nile Rodgers. Remember when you were in one of your grade-school productions and the only thing that ever mattered was that your family was in the audience supporting your yet-to-be-realized thespian dreams? Then when your performance was done, you'd immediately run to your mom for a "Yay, I did it!" hug? Guys! Ariana Grande had that same ah-dorable moment after she NAILED her VMA red carpet pre-show performance last night!

After belting out "The Way"/"Baby I" like a seasoned diva (eighty-bazillion-octave range and all), Grande could have celebrated with fellow pre-show performing cutie, Austin Mahone, or really anybody on the red carpet. But instead, she beelined straight for her mama to offer up a "Thanks for giving me life/these flawless genes!" embrace before the night's festivities began!

But backstage at the VMAs, we just so happened to overhear Mother Monster taking VMA presenters and "Best Song Of The Summer" winners One Direction under her (creepy, fire-breathing swan) wing and schooling them on how to handle all the h8ters (when she wasn't, you know, showing them her naked butt).

As you might've seen/heard, One Direction met with mixed audience reviews as they went onstage to collect their fan-voted "Best Song Of The Summer" VMA. Most 1D Stans squeeeeed with joy, but a few h8ters sent out a loud chorus of "booooos."

But lucky for 1D, Gaga showed up backstage to give them an anti-hater pep talk, saying: "Don't you dare let those people boo you. I put that booing in my own show because I wanted to make a comment about that. I want to leave right now. I don't want to stay anymore. You deserve a lot." Ummmmmm, SHYEAH! YOU GO, GAGA. Taylor Swift + Harry Styles Hit Up The Same VMA After-Party? STFU! (PHOTO)

Maybe Taylor's thanking Harry IRL for the Best Female Video Moonman like she did in her speech?

So, you know how Taylor Swift threw some shade at an ex during her Best Female Video acceptance speech for "I Knew You Were Trouble." at last night's VMAs? At the end of her expected thank yous, the singer dropped the timbre of her voice to add: "I also want to thank the person who inspired this song who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one o' these!" Shade? Sorry, we meant a 9,089-year eclipse.

Like most people obsessed with the lives of their famous betters, we assumed Swift might have been referring to One Direction's Harry Styles (whom the song is rumored to be about). (We thought her feelings toward Harry were basically the complete opposite of how she reacted to *NSYNC's VMA reunion.) But the above photo featuring the two hanging out with Ed Sheeran at a VMA After-Party may just prove otherwise...

We're not totally sure of the circumstances surrounding this photo, but it appears that one lucky VMA audience member hit up the very same post-show blowout. Tweeting the photo, the user's caption reads: "maybe this picture can prove that they're okay with each other." Hmmm, maybe it can. Then again, mutual friend Ed Sheeran could always be threatening the former flames to play nice and smile for the camera, or else he will TURN THIS VMA AFTER-PARTY AROUND. All plausible.
